Jarrett Esaw is a photographer, born and raised in New York City. His work is rooted in street photography while naturally extending across a range of photographic genres. Printing is an integral aspect of his practice. As an avid printer, he works using silver gelatin, alternative photographic processes, and inkjet printing, maintaining an intentional, hands-on approach from image-making through final print.

In addition to his personal practice, Esaw is an educator. He teaches alternative printing processes at multiple organizations and schools throughout New York City. His teaching emphasizes technical understanding, and the development of an individual voice. Through education and mentorship, he is committed to supporting photographers and encouraging thoughtful, process-oriented approaches to the medium.
